X-Viber
Condition-based Maintenance
This instrument is designed for Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance work without the need for "expert" interpretation. Not only can it be used in a condition based maintenance program it is also an ideal instrument for supporting a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. By setting a base line measurement you can compare the PM results to the base line before and after any work. This is also an excellent practice when commissioning equipment back into service so you can control any process you need to measure. With the X-Viber you choose the parameter you want to measure i.e. Vibration/Temperature/Bearing condition, etc. and the X-Trend expert software automatically trends the measurements.
Features:
- 1 handheld display
- 1 transducer with magnet
- 1 USB connection cable
- 1 Battery charger
- 1 Extension probe
- 1 X-Trend software for trending and basic analysis
- 1 Carrying case
- 1 Manual
X-Viber Measurements
Among its single plane balancing feature, the X-Viber has two main functions: Route and Off-Route Measurements. When using the Route function you can record, store and trend the measurement data in the X-Trend software that comes with the instrument. The Off-Route Measurement function can only record the data on the display. Both functions come with the following measurements:
Total Value - This value is the RMS average of all vibrations within the selected frequency range. You can select both unit and frequency range.
Bearing Condition - This value is the RMS average in "g" of all high frequencies within the selected frequency range.
Envelope - This value is the RMS average in "gE" within the selected frequency range 2-1000 Hz of the low pass filtered and rectified high frequencies between 500 to 7200 Hz. You can select between different frequency ranges.
Speed - X-Viber is remotely measuring the shaft speed between 30 to 12000 rpm by sensing infrared reflex from a target on the shaft. The target can be any reflex tape.
Temperature - This function is used to measure the temperature of the machine or bearing.
Analysis - This function is similar to the Total Value but with an additional analysis of the 5 dominating frequencies in the signal. This function is especially useful to find the cause of vibration and at balancing. You can also select both unit and frequency range.
