The D505 system was designed for the professional, but it can be operated by a rookie. If you are in a plant that has twisted bases, pipe strain or bolt bound issues, or if you are a service company that has to align many different types of equipment, then the D505 is the system for you. |
The D505 can perform belt and shaft alignment. |
It has all the programs and functions needed for measurement of different rotating machinery. All the parts of the system are designed and built for the most demanding workplace and are easy to setup on any machinery. The versatile design solves all kinds of measurements quickly and with precision. You can easily measure small and large machines regardless of the shaft diameter, with a resolution of 0.05 mils [0.001 mm] and with a measuring distance up to 66 feet [20 m]. |

Designed for all IndustriesThe rugged aluminum and stainless steel design guarantees stable measurement values and reliable alignment even in the harshest of environments. Double rods support the measuring units mounted on stable chain shaft fixtures. The display guides you through the measurement process and has a large storage memory with a RS232 port for printing or transfer to a PC. The Windows program EasyLink is included for measurement data transferring and data storing. These are just some of the features of this high performance system.

User Friendly The key to fast, simple measurement is a powerful measurement program that helps you perform at your best. That is why Easy Laser systems have a large number of specially adapted programs that guide you step by step through the measurement procedure. Look below at all the programs the D505 has to offer. |
| Horizontal 9-12-3 - For the alignment of horizontal machines by the 9-12-3 method. |
| Soft Foot - With this program you check so that the machine is resting on all feet. Shows which foot should be corrected (if necessary) |
| EasyTurnTM - For the alignment of horizontal machines. Allows complete measurement with only 40" rotation of the shafts. |
| Cardan - Shows the angular errors and adjustment value on cardan-shaft-coupled/center-offset machines. (Requires accessory fixtures.) |
| Vertical - For measurement of vertical and flange mounted machines. |
| Machine Train - For the alignment of two to ten machines in a row (nine couplings). The entire alignment can be followed live on the screen. |
| RefLockTM - Any pair of feet can be locked/set as a reference. This is a sub-function in the machine train program. |
| Thermal Growth Compensation - Compensates for difference in thermal growth between machines. This is a sub-program in the machine train program. |
| Offset and Angle - Shows center offset and angular error between two shafts, for example. Also suitable for dynamic measurements. |
| Values - Shows live readings from S- and M-unit. Can be used for shaft alignment, straightness measurement and dynamic measurement. Up to four detectors can be connected in series and be zeroed individually. |
| New Vibrometer - Shows vibration level in "mm/s" or "inch/s" and bearing condition value in "g". |
| BTA digital -For alignment of belt and chain drives. (Requires accessories BTA Digital transmitter and detector unit.) |
| All of these programs in the D505 will allow you to perform precision alignment work. Here we describe two of the system's functions that will help you with difficult alignment issues, such as when shaft rotation is restricted or when the machine is bolt bound. | |
Easy TurnThe D505 system has built-in electronic inclinometers in the detector heads. This means that you can get an angle reading when in the Values program. The inclinometers also allow the Easy Turn program to function. With Easy Turn it is possible to start the measurement anywhere in a 360° rotation and move the heads a total of 40° and achieve precision alignment.

The Machine Train ProgramThis is a great program for the alignment of 2 to 10 machines in a row. It shows the measurement values digitally and graphically in live time mode during the alignment. With RefLock function you have the option of locking any two pair of feet as locked references. |

| For example, if you are aligning this motor, gearbox and pump you have the option of choosing which machine will be the stationary unit or if any will be left stationary. You begin by taking the measurements across both couplings. Then you can view the results on the display or download it to a PC. You can now select different reference points to lock until you get the optimum results that suits your requirements. | |

Traditionally when aligning a simple machine unit we keep one (Stationary) machine locked and move the other (Moveable) machine into alignment with it. In other words, we would lock feet 1 and 2 and adjust 3 and 4. Now if we choose we can lock feet 3 and 4 and adjust 1 and 2. Or how about locking 1 and 4 and adjusting 2 and 3?. That works as well. |
You can view the results as a date or as a graph in the display

Or you can also download the results to a PC and view them on the screen.

| Both the shaft alignment systems D505 and D525 have the ability to measure the vibration level in inch/s or mm/s of a machine unit and bearing condition (g-value).
